The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has decided to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) addressing specific improvements at the Tucson International Airport. As presently conceived, the Sponsor's Proposed Project includes:

Relocate Runway 11R/29L 450' to the southwest and construct it to a total length of 8,200 feet; |

Convert the existing GA runway into Taxiway B; |
| |
• |
Construct angled "high speed" exits at Taxiways D, A6, A11, and A13; |
| |
• |
Construct new connecting taxiways at the proposed Runway 11R and 29L ends;; |
| |
• |
Install an Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator lights (MALSR) on proposed Runway 11R. |
